Newtown police say a driver fled on foot after a crash involving a sedan and a tractor-trailer Thursday morning on Route 25 near Simm Lane. Officers found the driver in a nearby neighborhood. Police say the driver was treated at a hospital for injuries from the crash, then taken into custody. Both vehicles had to be towed. The road was closed for just over an hour.
