A New Fairfield man convicted in a 2022 fatal stabbing is now asking Connecticut’s Supreme Court for a new trial. Patrick Griffin is serving a 16-year prison sentence for killing 65-year-old James Knapp Junior. The justices heard arguments Thursday after a lower appellate court upheld Griffin’s conviction.
